Happy St. Pat's Day! (Belated)

Everything seems to be belated this year! Oh well, better late than never!

What do you get when you cross a pup-pup and a leprechaun? A pup-rechaun!

Katie and her French class spent several days learning about those mischevious leprechauns. They were determined to catch one of those wily critters and built themselves a trap that only a rag-taggle bunch of French School preschoolers could assemble. It was, by all accounts, a good trap. Sure to catch even the craftiest of the little green guys. He visited the room, tempted by the glittery baubles that they'd used as bait. He tripped the trap but struggled and fought, fought and struggled and, low and behold, he wiggled himself free. But not before he'd almost destroyed the classroom. Chairs were tipped over; papers, confetti and plastic jewels everywhere; and that crazy little fellow messed up the calendar, days of the week and the other pictures on the wall. He did leave gold coins, chocolate and necklaces for the kids but his visit caused quite a bit of commotion in the preschool room!

We later found out that a leprechaun had visited our house too! He tried to steal Katie's special shamrock shirt but dropped it behind the chair as he scurried away. We found it the next day. And, so, all of the work we'd invested in getting K to sleep independently promptly went out the window! Turns out she's pretty scared of leprechauns. In fact, now she wants to move so the leprechaun won't know where we live. Where's the emoticon of a tired mom slapping herself on the forehead?!?

At any rate, we had a good day and everyone enjoyed Katie's leprechaun wig.
