Here are a few pics from their cabin. The snow was lovely to look at but, man it was cold! And, this all came down the morning that we were supposed to drive home. Obviously we made it fine, but there sure was a lot of snow!
Aunt Trudy took us to the fishin' hole and we fed the fish in the river. There was only one little guy but since fish were involved we told everyone there were a hundred of them and they were GINORMOUS! Then we put out food for our fuzzy animal friends. We were rewarded when this little guy and five of his friends came by to check out the tasty treats!
Later, Aunt Trudy took us to the fish hatchery and we fed those scaly animal friends (you'll have to ask Butch what kind they really were. Katie and I just called them whale fish). What a deal - 25 cents for a handful of fish treats. It was darn cold, but we all agreed to come back when it was a good deal warmer - and maybe even a "Kids Fish Free" day!
We ventured into Bend for all of our "Must Do's": (1) Visit Linda and Terry; (2) Eat at Dandy's (the best burgers in the West); and (3) Shop at Bi-Mart!
We even got to visit with Rita and Duane but no pics of that. Sorry! All we needed was Westin, Christina and Baby Question (K's nickname for Brogan) to visit. Next time...
Extra special thanks to Uncle Steve and Aunt Trudy for being such wonderful hosts. We miss you guys and wish the drive between us would get shorter. And, a huge helping of thanks to Anna for the numerous games of "I Spy" she played with Katiebug!
So, with all the fun new things to do and people to meet, what do you think K's favorite was? It would be a toss up between sleeping in the camper (or, frankly doing ANYTHING in the camper) and all the new friends! Here's Katie with her bestest new pals: Molly, Hannah, Sassy and Rosebud.
Although next time we go camping, it may be in the driveway!

Looks like loads of fun and beautiful scenery too! Katiebug is looking more and more grown up every time I see pictures of her. She's a beauty!
