We've been hearing this for a while from Katie, but in the last few days it's become a daily mantra. Well, a several times a day daily mantra. It finally dawned on us...babies have mimis. When you grow up, you're older, you're not a baby, you don't need mimis...you're old. This is really distressing for Katie and she really has managed to capture that 'over the hill'-ness in her voice when she laments about her advanced age of 3. Any time she'd naturally want or have a mimi we get her concerned cries. We try to refocus and remind her of all the things she CAN do as a big girl that babies can't do - run, cook, ride a scooter, walk, talk, play, do puzzles...and she's quick to point out that all babies can do is cry. Heck, if you were old, could you watch TV like this?!? (ya' gotta love those socks! she picked them out...)

Then she decides that she's not really old until she turns 4. If that's the case, Daddy better watch out. He's got the double 4's coming up this year. Now THAT'S old!
