How anything manages to grow here...

We got our garden in a couple of weeks ago - great layout this year. It's a keeper that we'll tweak for 2011 and beyond. We took two days to get it all in (the youngest native was getting restless). But since then, it's been raining cats and dogs. How anything has managed to stay alive is beyond me. But we do have sprouts - turnips, beans, peas, carrots, parsnips, cucumbers (just a few, I'm sure the rest have rotted), radishes, onions, and corn. Yes, corn managed to find it's way out of the ground, but if it doesn't warm up and dry out I don't think it's going to make it. I think our squash (zuke, yellow, acorn and pumpkins) just rotted in the ground. We may have to start those again...
